Kaleidoscopes

Image
Kaleidoscopes Kaleidscopes are when theres a continuous change of pattern or sequence of elements. To make a Kaleidoscope I used the software Photo Shop. The first image above is the original cope of the photo and the second image above is my final print of a Kaleidoscope. There were many steps on creating a Kaleidoscope. The first step was to crop my image down removing the wall, steps and light shown in the image, remaining the fireworks. The next step was to unlock the background layer and rename the layer to "Top Left". Once you rename the layer I then set the canvas size to 200 percent width and height and clicking the anchor to the Top Left corner. I then duplicated the image through Edit-Transform-Flip Horizontal, you then repeat this and flip Vertical. The final step I merged all four layers together a renamed the layer "Kaleidoscope".  Making Kaleidoscopes I really enjoyed, at first it was hard to understand but after making a few examples I got

Multiplicity

Image
Multiplicity   Multiplicity is a photography technique in which the same person is photographed from different angles and directions and then the bunch of photographs are digitally remastered in Photoshop showing clones of the person doing different things all in one photo.  How to make Multiplicity: Using photoshop you load your images into a stack. You do this by going through File - Script - Load files into stack. Then you add layer masks to each layer. Selecting your first layer mask use the eraser tool to erase the part/object/person you want to multiply. The next step is to click onto the second layer and press (cmd I) to multiply your image. Continue these steps throughout the layers till you get to your last layer. The last step is to save your final image as a TIF file.

The Decisive Moment - Henri Cartier-Bresson

Image
The Decisive Moment The image created by Henri Cartier-Bresson makes me feel very unpredictable on what is going to happen next with the man. The black and white filter creates the image feeling very ghostly and mysterious  with the black silhouettes and in the background of men standing looking like grave stones. FORUM What colours does the artist use? Why? How is colour organised? Henri Cartier-Bresson has used the colours black and white. The reason he may of used the black and white colours is to create a ghostly atmosphere to his image. The black and white filter also creates the image looking unpredictable on whats going to happen.  MOOD How does the work make you feel? His work makes me feel unsure on whats going to happen next, theres thoughts he may fall over or the puddle is deeper than it looks. It also makes me feel spooked by the use of colours and reflections used.
